Telehealth: FQHCs/RHCs locked in as permanent Medicare BH distant sites. non-BH audio-only runs through 2027

FQHCs and RHCs may permanently serve as Medicare distant site providers for behavioral/mental health telehealth, and Medicare patients may permanently receive behavioral/mental health telehealth at home with no geographic originating-site restrictions. Audio-only is also permanently permitted for behavioral/mental health services in Medicare. For non-behavioral/mental health services, FQHC/RHC distant site eligibility and audio-only delivery both expire December 31, 2027.
