245A.04 new notice rules for permitted single-family residence licenses
For programs that qualify as a permitted single-family residential use, the law adds a requirement that the commissioner give the affected municipality or political subdivision written notice of the license issuance "no later than five days after issuing the license, excluding weekends and holidays." That notice must include "the prospective license holder's name and contact information, the license type and capacity, and the proposed address of the licensed facility or program." This section is effective July 1, 2026, and applies to licenses issued on or after that date.
