245G.09 amended — subd. 3 adds tobacco education to day-of-admission documentation
Programs must now document that tobacco educational material (per 245G.04, subd. 4) was provided on the day of service initiation, alongside the existing opioid education requirement. This applies to all clients at admission and affects the client record checklist for intake staff. The change is substantive because it adds a new required documentation element to the admission record.
