ONC Final Rule: Health IT Certification Criteria Revised and Reduced

ONC has finalized deregulatory changes to health IT certification standards, removing and revising certain certification criteria and program requirements. The rule offers EHR developers and healthcare providers more flexibility and reduces compliance burden around certified health IT. SUD treatment programs using certified EHR technology may see changes in what features or standards their software vendor is required to support.
